Amateur Radio

I've started investing in vintage radios as this is an area in which I have a great deal of interest.  My grandfather had an old Zenith of this same year and I remember it very well.

This is the Zenith model 9S232A, made in 1938.  It was one of the most advanced commercial radios of its day, tuning AM and short wave all the way up to 18 MHz.  This radio has been completely restored and looks and operates just as it did in 1938.

This is my first vintage radio purchase and is one of the most sought after of all collectible radios.

Photos made with my Canon 10D and 24-70 2.8L lens, Gitzo tripod and natural lighting.
